Schools programme in M-Ward: Meljol organized a meeting with HUM (Humanity United in M-Ward) team on 10th December to discuss the progress of the Aflatoun programme in the M-ward schools. It was found that the programme is running smoothly in one (Kumud Vidya Mandir) of the six selected schools for Aflatoun programme. MelJol team conducted meeting with the principals and the teachers in charge of the Aflatoun programme in the 5 schools where the programme was yet to start and worked out plan of action. As a result, the Aflatoun programme started in two schools {Abhinav Gyan Mandir (Marathi Medium) and Trombay English School (English Medium)} in the third week of December. Basic sessions (on Mel, Jol and Aflatoun) have been conducted by using joyful methods like songs, games and different activities. The students showed interest in the programmes. All other ground work has been done by the MelJol team to implement the programme in other 3 schools by third week of January 2009.
